The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun has extolled the virtues of the newly installed Iyaloja-General of Sagamu Local Government, Chief Mrs. B. O. Olasonde Oduwaiye, describing her as a mother per excellence.
Speaking at the installation held at the palace of Akarigbo, Ita Oba, Sagamu, the Governor who was represented by his deputy, Engineer (Mrs) Noimont Salako-Oyedele said the new Iyaloja had always been with the government and effectively managing and regulating the activities of the market as smoothly as it possibly could be.
The Governor opined that her outstanding and progressive leadership has contributed in no small measure to the flawless administration of the market in the local government area in the state, saying that he had no doubt that she would use the position to improve the markets in the local government and the welfare of market women and men.
Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remo land, His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Ajayi said he had an implicit confidence in Chief Mrs. Oduwaiye and believed she would ably champion and regulate the activities of the market women and men in the local Government.
The Monarch declared the honour bestowed on her as a well deserved one because before now, she has shown dexterous leadership and ideal motherhood which he believed she would bring to bear in her administration and regulation of the activities of market women and men.
The installation ceremony was graced by government functionaries which include amongst others: Honourable Oriyomi Onanuga, a member of House of Representatives; Honourable Funmi Efuwape, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development.
Also in attendance were many other traditional Rulers in the Remo Kingdom including among others: His Royal Highness, Oba Adewale Osiberu, Elepe of Epe; His Royal Highness, Oba Muib Ginsorin, Odofin of Soyindo; His Royal Highness, Oba Mufutau Sanni, Aminisan of Oko; His Royal Highness, Oba Emmanuel Osho, Odogun of Ipoji; His Royal Highness, Oba Gbenga Sonuga. Fadesewa of Simawa; Lisa Oduwaiye, Lisa Makun.
Also present were Yeye Toyin Biliki Oseni; Comrade Ganiu Omolaja, Governor of Fuji Musicians of Nigeria (FUMAN), Ogun Chapter and his Secretary, Dauda Muhammed
