Sunday Adeyemo, Yoruba nation agitator better known as Sunday Igboho, has been arrested.
Our impeccable source said Igboho was arrested in Cotonou by Benin Republic’s security forces while he was trying to flee to Germany.
He was said to have been arrested in Cotonou while trying to travel out on Monday night to Germany. The security forces in Benin Republic, we gathered might repatriate him to Nigeria on Tuesday.
The Department of State Services (DSS) raided the residence of Igboho in Ibadan, Oyo state on July 1, 2 days to Igboho’s planned ”Yoruba nation rally” in Lagos.
The DSS raided the residence, killing two people and arresting 12 aides. But Igboho escaped.
The agency alleged that Igboho was stockpiling weapons, and subsequently declared him wanted while the agitator has been on the run since the raid of his house in the Shoka area of Ibadan, Oyo State.
The federal government had said the agitator was working at getting a new passport to flee the country for Germany.
The Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) had placed a notice for his arrest across Nigerian borders.
