Oniraniken of Iraniken Sagamu, Adewale Adeniji is now on the run as police arrested three suspected Land grabbers with dangerous weapon who named him as their sponsor and that they were working for him.
The travail of about thirteen villages which Oba Adewale Adeniji, Oniraniken said to have secured a frivolous judgement over its ownership, has resulted to the high level of insecurity in the community and nearby villages frequently unleashing terror on the residents who we gathered live in fear of being attacked or kidnapped by the hoodlums.
The level of insecurity in the area was zero as Oba Adewale Adeniji, Oniraniken allegedly invited the armed bandits to the said land with the intention to secure it with guns, despite court order and ruling on the ownership of the property.
Today, The men of the Nigeria Police Force, NPF Special Squad apprehended three among the dare devil, caught in the act at Oke Rala village, Shimawa area of Sagamu, Ogun state.
The three suspects who are said to be have been working for Oba Adewale Adeniji, Oniraniken of Iraniken were arrested on the land said to belong to Olumeru Adeyemi Sodiya Family in Oke Rala village, Shimawa area of Sagamu following petition from the community residents to the Inspector General of Police over insecurity in the villages.
According to the police source, the force special squad received distress call from resident of Shimawa over kidnapping and banditary which made them swing into action from Abuja, and during the raid, live ammunition and dangerous weapons were recovered from the three members of the gang of land grabbers apprehended while others members were said to be at large.
The suspected hoodlums arrested were Afeez Sunday 41yrs old “m” of Ikorodu LGA, Surajudeem Isiaka 33yrs old “m” from Ikorodu, and one Muranikeji Ogunkeye 32yrs old “m” of Ikorodu LGA of Lagos state.
Other villages affected by the insecurity included: Okerala Odofin, Okelara Apena Seriki village, Okerala Tarogun village, Ipa Village, Ososa Village, Simawa village respectively where the residents daily live in fear and could not go to perform their daily activities for fear of being battered, kidnapped or killed by these dare devil men.
It would be recalled, Ogun State House of Assembly had invited the Oniraniken of Iraniken over the disputed mass of land, and when he appeared before the lawmakers on January 23, 2021 they told him to tender documents proofing him as the genuine owner of about 4,000 Acres of land but he couldn’t provide any, instead allegedly engaged hoodlums to terrorize the entire villages.
These hired hoodlums were said to have attacked so many residents, leaving many of them completely displaced, some nursing varied degrees of injuries, with one Lukman Kareem having his left eye badly damaged.
The suspected land grabbers arrested today were said to have been whisked away to Abuja by the special force for questioning. The police, we gathered conducted a search at the palace of Oba Adewale Adeniji but he could not be found as he was said to have taken to his heals. Efforts to reach him on the phone was also thwarted as his phone rang but he did not pick calls.
