His Royal Highness, Alayeluwa Oba Taiwo Taiwo, Amororo II, Onipara of Ipara Remo and Olori Afolake Taiwo congratulated the muslim faithfuls all over the world, particularly Ipara Remo, Remo North Local Government, Ogun State on the celebration of Eid ul-fitr after completion of their annual compulsory spiritual Ramadan fasting for 30 days.
This was contained in a press statement signed by Omo’ba Abiola Ogundeko on behalf of His Royal Highness, Oba Taiwo Taiwo, Amororo II, Onipara of Ipara Remo.
The Royal father urged them not to forget the importance of the teachings and spiritual gains of the Ramadan fasting citing 2 verses:
- “Oh, you who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that you may learn piety and righteousness”
- “Allah has made Laylat al-Qadr in this month, which is better than a thousand months, as Allah says…The Night of Al-Qadr is better than a thousand months. Therein descend the angels and the Rooh [Jibreel (Gabriel)] by Allaah’s Permission with all Decrees, there is peace until the appearance of dawn.”
Oba Taiwo Taiwo noted that Nigeria as a Country, like many other countries in the world has been facing social and economic challenges such as COVID-19 global Pandemic; banditry, kidnapping, rapping, ethnicity and religious bigotry but believed with the rigorous 30 days Ramadan fasting and prayers, God would grants our prayers requests by solving all the problems.
The Royal father expressed appreciation to Ipara Remo Muslim Community and the Leadership of League of Imams and Alfas, through the Chief Imam of Ipara Remo, Fadheelat Sheikh Abdul-Fatai Kolawole Nosirudeen for their support and various spiritual activities within and outside Ipara Remo that had positive impacts on the lives of the youths and women.
He advocated for love, peace, unity, progress and development in Ipara Remo, promising that his reign would work assiduously to improve on amongst others: security of lives and properties, Infrastructural development, health care and youths and women development.
Onipara of Ipara Remo and Olori Afolake Taiwo wished Muslim faithfuls the world over Eid Mubarak.
