The combination of Prince Dapo Abiodun, the incumbent Governor of Ogun State and Otunba Gbenga Daniel, former Governor of the state in All Progressives Congress will produce an excellent governance in the state.
This was the submission of Otunba Nurudeen Aina (aka Alowonle), Chairman of Articulate Motorcycles Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria (AMORAN), Ogun State Chapter in an exclusive interview session with our team in Sagamu on Thursday, February 17, 2021
He described the coming of Otunba Daniel into APC as a welcome development on the grounds that he remained a political juggernaut who has over the years enlisted an army of followers, adding that he has come into the ruling party with the large army of followers to swell the membership of our party, APC.
He said, “there is no more any body else in the opposition party. Before now we had only OGD, and now that he has joined us in All Progressives Congress, there is nobody else in the other parties”.
The AMORAN leader reiterated, ‘I want to assure the people of Ogun State that the togetherness of the duo of our leader and Governor, Prince Abiodun and Otunba Daniel will bring about robust dividends of democracy to the people”.
“Our Governor, Prince Abiodun has been up and doing since he came to power. The numerous strides of his in the nooks and crannies of the state speak volume of his commitment to the development of the state unlike the former governor who was governor of Abeokuta.
The immediate past governor did not bother about the state of things as they affected other parts of the state or the plight of the people. He concentrated all his efforts only on a particular section of the state. If you evaluate Governor Abiodun you will see that his administration is touching every parts of the state.
As far as I’m concerned, Prince Abiodun, is so far the best governor of the state, because he has shown that he is a bridge-builder, a Reconciliator, an unbiased leader, a straight-forward person as well as a man with a golden heart.
If you look around the country, when a governor leaves government his successor will abandon whatever projects, programmes and policies his predecessor had started and begin to executive his own fresh projects, programmes and policies. But with Prince Abiodun, because he harbours no grudges against anybody, he has continued almost all the projects and programmes his predecessor could not complete. That, to my own mind speaks volume of his unique and uncommon leadership quality”.
Otunba Aina was of the opinion that by the time Governor Abiodun would round up his first tenure, he would turned the state around for the better.
He therefore advised the people of the state to be prepare to give their votes to Prince Dapo Abiodun come 2023. ” I assure you, that as for me and my people, our support and votes will be for All Progressives Congress and for Prince Dapo Abiodun”.
