The newly appointed Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology in Ogun State, Professor Abayomi Arigbabu has promised to make remarkable impact in the education sector, calling for the support and cooperation of staff of the Ministry to make the State a pace setter in the country.

The Commissioner who made this call in his office during the prayer session, held to usher him into his new office, said the feat could be achieved by their positive attitude to work.

Arigbabu while promising to deliver the mandate of government in revamping education, advised staff to contribute their quota by discharging their duties effectively in fulfillment of ‘Building our Future Together’ mantra.

“I believe I have a wonderful team that comprises management and staff of the Ministry and I am relying on you to fulfill this assignment because if I succeed, we all succeed together”, Commissioner said.

Speaking, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mrs. Abosede Ogunleye appreciated members of the staff and entourage from Tai Solarin University of Education (TASUED) for turning up to welcome the new commissioner, assuring to support him towards a successful tenure of his administration.

In his Christian admonition, a representative of the Directorate of Academic Planning and Quality Assurance TASUED, Mr. Adedolapo Otunubi, urged people to always lean on God and act according to His wishes, calling on the commissioner to focus more on things that are pleasing to God, which would eventually distinguish him among his counterparts.

Also, an Islamic Cleric, Dr. Jimoh Owoyele, noted that for a better society, fear of God, patience, perseverance, consistent prayer and steadfastness must be cultivated, saying people must live exemplary lives worthy of emulation.
