Residents of Sagamu Local Government Area (LGA) have been assured of adequate security of lives and property, as the Nigeria Police has intensified efforts at combating crime in the area.
Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Kenneth Ebrimson gave this assurance at the official commissioning of Sakora Divisional Headquarters, in Sagamu Local Government, noting that security was a collective responsibility in curtailing criminality in the communities.
He appreciated Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remo land, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, for the unalloyed support in making the edifice ready for commissioning, pointing out that the Monarch had also single-handedly bring to reality the establishment of five Divisions in Sagamu community.
The Police boss thanked Sakora community for the edifice to enhance security in the area, assuring that cultism, armed robbery and kidnapping would be a thing of the past.
Speaking earlier, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, said the structure was for the benefit of the people of Remo land, expressing confidence that it would wade off bad elements in the community.
