Operatives of Nigerian Customs Service have allegedly killed one and injured scores at Owode Idiroko yesterday morning.

According to our source, the operatives of the Customs allegedly broke into some shops and carted away bags of Rice and sugar. Feared they might be challenged, they were said to be shooting sporadically into the air to scare away reprisal attacks, unfortunately, in the process, their stray bullets hit a boy on the head and died as many unsuspecting residents of the area sustained various degree of injuries.

The boy killed was a 15 year old SS1 student of Owode Community High School, Owode, whose name was simply given as Rilwan.

Efforts to reach the Nigerian Customs Service Public Relation Officer, AC Attach was thwarted as his phone was not connecting. Additionally, he did not respond to messages sent to his WhatsApp account at press time
