he Chairman, Transition Committee, Ijebu Ode Local Government, Engr. Olugbenga Olugbile has commended the Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun, on the distribution of stimulus package to the people of the local government area during the COVID-19 lockdown.The Chairman gave the commendation during an interview with pressmen, while monitoring the distribution of relief items to people in the eleven wards across the council area.He was full of praises to the Governor for being sensitive to the plight of the people, as shown in the extension of the commencement date of the lockdown pronounced by President Muhammad Buhari, as well as the relax of the lockdown on some selected days, by the Governor.Engr. Olugbile however urged the people to be patient as the package is expected to get to those who were not captured in the first batch of the ongoing distribution.While speaking also, the Member representing Ijebu Ode State Constituency, at the Ogun State House of Assembly, Hon. Kemi Oduwole, appreciates the Governor for his responsiveness, describing the stay at home order as one that is well-planned and properly coordinated. This according to him does not come as a surprise.Similarly, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Urban and Physical Planning, Ogun State, TPL Yetunde Dina gave kudos to Governor Dapo Abiodun, for his sensitive disposition to the needy and the vulnerable, particularly, the aged.While stressing that Corona Virus is real, she hinted that fumigation will be carried out by the Ogun State Ministry of Environment in major places in the town, such as markets, palaces, and places of worship.Places visited by the Chairman and the monitoring team, include Isado, Ipamuren, Olode, Porogun, and Imepe. Beneficiaries at these and other locations expressed their gratitude to the Governor, and prayed for by God’s protection over him and his family.
