A call has gone to well-meaning individuals in the country, as well as corporate organisations to support government in its efforts at combating coronavirus pandemic, as government alone could not provide the all needed to tackle the disease.

Ogun State Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, made the call while receiving, on behalf of the State government 200 mattresses, donated by Mouka Foam, to support government in its efforts to contain the deadly Covid-19, saying the gesture was apt, as the State was ensuring that all necessary machineries were in place, for the isolation and treatment of coronavirus patients.

She said just yesterday, his Excellency Prince Dapo Abiodun took people around isolation centres put in place by government, as part of their preparedness to manage the coronavirus pandemic, and that the COVID-19 team conducted them round very impressive 128 bed facility which ranked the largest single facility available in country today in terms of the number of beds.

While appreciating Mouka for the generous donation, the Deputy Governor said the mattresses would be put to use when more isolation and treatment centres were created for possible patients of Coronavirus, saying that a lot still needed to be done in terms of relief materials for people during the lockdown, so as to be able to keep the family going.

Earlier in his remarks, Chief Commercial Officer, Mouka Foam, Mr. Dimeji Osingunwa, said the company felt the need to partner Ogun State government in their little way, especially at this critical period the State and the Federal government are fighting Coronavirus pandemic in the country, noting that the item donated was part of the essentials needed by government at this period.

According to him, ‘’we have the large chunk of our business in this environment and across Nigeria and we felt that at this critical period, and in our usual bid, we must recognise and partner with Ogun Sate government, as we usually do to communities’’.
