His Royal Majesty, Oba Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, Olu and the Paramount Ruler of Yewaland has announced the postponement of the Civic Reception & Award presentation to distinguished sons and daughters of Yewa and individuals for their contribution to the development of Yewaland and their meritorious career cum service to humanity.

According to a press release e-signed and made available to the media by Pastor. Obafemi Bamidele Akinola, the Coordinator, Committee of Yewa Groups & Associations, the event earlier scheduled to hold on Saturday April 11, 2020 was put on hold as a result of the global pandemic – COVID-19, and the directives of the Federal and State governments to suspend all gathering of people throughout the country.

The release further stated, “All recipients/awardees and invited guests to the Civic Reception And Award programme scheduled for Saturday April 11, 2020, organised by the Office of the Paramount Ruler of Yewaland and notable groups and association in Yewaland is hereby postponement due to the Covid -19 pandemic, and a suitable date would soon be communicated”.

Oba Olugbenle however appealed to the people of Yewa, Ogun State and Nigeria at large to adhere strictly to the government’s directives against the dreaded and pandemic Coronavirus.

The Paramount Ruler of Yewaland urges us all to stay safe at this time and assured us that this period will surely come to pass, very soon.
