Prince Adedapo Abiodun has finally taking over the reign of power at the Ogun state Governor’s office, Oke Mosan as Senator Ibikunle Amosun, the immediate past Governor of the state this afternoon performed the officially pull out ceremony.
The official handing over ceremony was carried out at about 3:00 PM after about 5 hours behind the official scheduled time.
This symbolic official transition from the outgoing Governor to the newly elected Governor was done by the immediate past Secretary to the state Government (SSG), Barrister Taiwo Adeoluwa onbehalf of his boss, Senator Amosun and the new Deputy Governor, Engineer Noimot Salako Oyedele for the Abiodun Administration.
The pull out ceremony was witnessed by many civil servants who either throng out of their offices to bid the immediate past Governor bye bye or peeped through the windows or corridors of their offices to catch a glimpse of Amosun.
Senator Amosun when fielding questions from Journalists said he had given his all to the state and was happy he was able to take the state from the low class it was to one of the best in the country.
He said he was leaving the Governorship seat as a filled person as his many achievements would speak for him now and for a long time to come.
On whether he had any advice for the incoming Governor of the state, Prince Dapo Abiodun, he said he had nothing to say because he had run his own race to the finished line.
Thereafter, the immediate past Governor of the state, Senator Amosun’s long convoy rode through the selected paths of Abeokuta, the state capital where he went on a ” Thank You” mission.
The convoy finally pulled to a stop at the new Amphibian Theatre, Oke Ilewo, Abeokuta into the waiting hands of a large column of musical acts assembled to entertaind him, some past government appointees, friends, associates as well as the masses
Senator Amosun was accompanied by a number of Theatre practitioners who came from far and near to honour him.
