Former Governor of the state, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, at his polling boot urged Governorship candidates of political parties in the state to accept the outcome of the election in good faith.
Daniel who spoke to Journalists shortly after casting his vote at Ward 12 unit 7 in Isote, Sagamu local government of the state, appealed to all the candidates to maintain peace even if defeated in the exercise.
He stressed that the expectation of the people from the incoming government is very high.
He said, “What I have seen, people have come out in large number to vote and people are full of expectations.
He disclosed that having voted he was full of expectations. He used the opportunity to appeal to Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) that at the end of the voting exercise, collation should be properly done and a winner would be declared.
Otunba Gbenga Daniel charged the winner and loser to accept the outcome of the elections so that the state and country could move forward. “Spread the love”, he pleaded .
Daniel commended INEC for conducting a free and fair election in the state.
