Former Governor of Ogun state, Chief Olusegun Osoba has lauded Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over the peaceful and orderly conduct of the Governorship and State House of Assembly elections.
The APC stalwart who voted at Omololu Ibara Unit 6, Ibara Housing Estate in the state explained he was happy that there were remarkable improvement on the arrangements and planning of INEC on the grounds that the card readers worked more efficiently and the process smoothly organized.
Chief Osoba said the turn out was impressive and security much better handled unlike those of the presidential elections where lapses were observed and lamented outright. “The law enforcement officer have stepped up their services and responsibilities unlike what we witnessed during the presidential elections”, he stressed.
Although, Chief Osoba said it was too early to pour so much encomium on INEC or the security operatives, but opined that if the arrangements and conduct remained the way they were when he performed his exercise, the elections would be declared free and Fair.
The party leader charged the governorship contestants of all the participating parties to be good sportsmen by conceding victory to whoever emerged victorious at the polls and urged whoever won to be magnanimous in victory.
