Former Ogun State Governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel has directed his teeming admirers and followers as well as political associates to go out on Saturday and cast their votes for All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship candidate, Prince Dapo.

Our impeccable source told stated that the former Governor who is a kinsman of Abiodun from the East Senatorial Districts of Ogun state was said to have given that directives because he believed the APC candidate is a better candidate, who could take Ogun State to greater heights.

Information available to us revealed that Otunba Gbenga Daniel had always wanted a good hand who would not divide the state along sub-ethnic lines, and he believed Dapo Abiodun fit the bill.

Otunba who is the Director General of the People Democratic Party Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar also believed that the APC candidate would bring his experience in the private sector background to bear in the administration of the state.

PDP has two major factions in Ogun State, one led by Senator Buruji Kashamu, while the other is led by Hon. Ladi Adebutu. Both factions voted for the party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, during last month’s elections.

Otunba Daniel is technically the Leader of the Ladi Adebutu faction, which is recognized by the PDP national secretariat. But the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) recognises the Buruji Kashamu led faction.

The support of PDP members in Saturday’s elections for Abiodun will be valuable especially in Ogun East Senatorial District, where the party is very popular. The APC defeated the PDP in Ogun East for the senatorial seat by a small margin.
