INEC REJECTS AMOSUN’S FACTIONAL EXCO

The factional Executive of All Progressives Congress, Ogun State led by Derin Adebiyi and sponsored by the Governor of the state, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has suffered a setback as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) rejected its list of polling Agent list.

The Commission instead recognized those of the party’s Ogun State Caretaker Committee led by Chief Yemisi Sanusi. This disclosure was contained in a Press release signed by the Spokesman of the Committee, Comrade Tunde Oladunjoye.

He said, “It is important to urge the general public, especially members of our party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) to completely disregard the lies being peddled by a certain section of internal opposition that the polling agents list submitted by the Ogun APC Caretaker Committee led by Chief Yemi Sanusi was rejected by INEC, while that of one Chief Derin Adebiyi, former Chairman of APC was accepted”.

Oladunjoye said it was far from the truth because according to him INEC specifically wrote to the Caretaker Committee asking for the list of its agents and accepted same from the Committee.

He stated that any claim to the contrary was self-delusion and therefore challenged the Adebiyi led former Executive to publish the letter written to them by INEC asking for their agents’ list.

The APC Spokesman described the lie being peddled the former Executive being sponsored by Governor Amosun’s as cheeky and cheap on grounds that the truth could be verified with just a call or text message to INEC.

Oladunjoye revealed that the fake drawn by the dissolved Derin Adebiyi list was not only rejected, they also suffered legal setback. When the action challenging it’s dissolution by the APC National Working Committee was brought up at the Federal High Court Ten, Abuja as the hearing of the matter was adjourned till March 11, 2019.

He stated that with the court adjourning to a date after the general elections of February 16 and March 2, 2019, the APC State Caretaker Committee would be fully in charge of the elections in Ogun State, and that appropriate agencies are fully aware.

Oladunjoye said the attached letters from APC’s National Working Committee (NWC) and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) are self-explanatory.
