NIGERIA’S POLICE CHIEF APPOINTS SIX NEW DEPUTIES

Nigeria’s Acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Muhammed Adamu, on Monday, appointed six new Deputy Inspector-General of Police.
This develpment is coming after the compulsory retirement of the former seven former Deputy Inspector Generals following the appointment of Assistant Inspector-General, Muhammed Adamu as the Inspector General of Police by the President, Muhammadu Buhari
The new Deputy Inspector-General of Police were elevated from the rank of Assistant Inspector-General They are: Usman Tilli Abubakar, Abdulmaji Ali, Taiwo Frederick Lakanu and Godwin Nwobodo.
Two new Deputy Inspector-General were elevated from the rank of police commissioners, skipping the rank of Assistant Inspector-General of Police. They are: Ogbizi Michael and Michael Lamorde.
The Nigeria’s Inspector General of Police, Adamu has sent their names to the Police Service Commission (PSC) for consideration and approval.
