AMOSUN IS A DISAPPOINTMENT – Omosunmonu

A House of Representatives candidate in Ado Odo Ota Federal constituency , Honourable Olusegun Monsuru Omosunmonu of People Democratic Party ( PDP) has lamented over the state of the roads in Ado Odo Ota Federal constituency in Ogun State .

Speaking during his visit to some of the leaders of PDP in Ado Odo Ota, he said he was very worried to see all the roads in Ado Odo Ota Federal constituency in bad shape even after eight years of Governor Ibikunle Amosun’s administration who promised the axis good road network while he was campaigning for his first and second tenure in office .

Omosunmonu stated that the people of his constituency were disappointed in the Governor Ibikunle Amosun led Government because there was no motorable road in all the area, particularly Sango Ijoko road , Lafenwa Itele road to Ota township and some of the abandoned roads within Ota metropolis as many of existing ones are calling for serious attention .
According to him ” we rejoiced to have a new government eight years ago but it is very appalling that what we get from this government is below our expectations . You can imagine that after they pulled down buildings of some people in Sango Ijoko area to pave way for new roads everybody was rejoicing not knowing that it is a kangaroo project .Go there and see , people are suffering on this roads”.
” The story of people in Atan cannot be different to what am telling you . Let the people there share their experience with you about old Sokoto road that lead to Ilogbo , you will see the story is the same all over . Then , what are we doing ?. Do they forget they sworn to serve people”?
Honourable Olusegun Omosunmonu who described the road that linked Ado Odo to Atan as a death trap, said the presence of the government is not felt in the area. He described other projects this current government embarked on in Lusada area as a jamboree which cannot see the light of the day .
According to him ” Agbara and Igbesa axis harbour over 85 companies that pay their taxes to the state government regularly but deprived of good roads . Look at the road from Atan to Agbara and look at the road from Lusada to Igbesa . This government is not fair to us in this area . We served this government with nothing to show for it .” he lamented .
” We have been calling the attention of government to Owode / Ado Odo road in the last eight years now and all we get from the government is promises everyday . The only time this government responded to our plight was around four years ago when he was about to campaign and the only thing they did was to erect a sign post there . We are not even sure we are part of Ogun State with our experiences so far “
” In 2015 when Governor Ibikunle Amosun came to Ado Odo Ota , he was taken to Ado–Ikoga road which got the attention of government during the old Western Region . Governor Ibikunle Amosun who promised to rehabilitate the road after the election in 2015 abandoned the people with their fate while he used the money he generated here to construct a bridges in Abeokuta , the State capital .”
Omosunmonu therefore called on the people of Ado Odo Ota Federal constituency to support him so as to correct some of the wrongs and to bring the people out from the calamity of roads that had befellen them . He explained the only way to do that was to vote against bad leaders and any government that failed to pay attention to the yearnings of the people .
